European Championships Iaido 2007 results
During the EC iaido in Paris, France, Piotr Kukla has participated with the team competition. With this team the Dutch have won the third place.
Shodan examanation
Prior to the Europian Championships, an iaido seminar was organized in Ris Orange. Followed by examanations. During this examanation, Cees Jan van Beek successfully did his Shodan exam. Congratulations!
European Championships 2007
Piotr Kukla has been selected to participate with the European Championships iaido. This event will take place from the 30th until the fourth of November in Paris, France.
Sister Dojo
Starting November Yushinkan will have a new sister dojo. This new dojo, named Jinshinkan, will open her doors in Amsterdam. Yushinkan wishes all the best to Jinshinkan. For more information on Jinshinkan go to: www.jinshinkan.nl

Dutch Championships
On the 20th of May Shofukan organised the Dutch Championships iaido in Rotterdam. Ashwin Karis got the third price in the youth division, Jacky Visser a second price in the mudan division and Berry Kuijer a third price in the sandan division. Hereby Yushinkan would like to congratulate these price winners!
Ikkyu examinations
After the Dutch Championship the Dutch Kendo Renmei organised examination for the first kyu. Cees-Jan van Beek, Taif Rahim and Peter Bas Disberg have successfully passed this examination, congratulations!
Olympic Weekend
On 20, 21 and 22th of April the Olympic Weekend was held in Utrecht. On Sunday Yushinkan also opened her doors. There was a greater turnout than last year and we were happy to tell and show people what iaido really is. Ishido Cup 2007
On januari 14th, the Dutch Kendo Renmei, together with Yushinkan, organized the 8th Ishido Cup. More information about the event, and photos can be found at this page.
New Years Training
Januari 7th, Rokushikan in Amersfoort organized the New Years Training for 2007.
Training is open for everyone. But we do expect you to know all 12 ZNKR kata.

Yushinkan party
Tuesday November 14 was a special day for Yushinkan. The three reasons were: Yushinkan celebrated her eight year anniversary; Berry Kuijer has received permission to teach Shinkageryu iaido; and the three people who took the Introduction course have deceided to become full members of Yushinkan. For this event, Yushinkan organised a special video-trainingsession and members could test the effectiveness of their cutting technics by cutting newspapers.
Murugai seminar
On the 7th and 8th of October, the Dutch Shinkage ryu Nederland Foundation has organised the anual seminar with Matsuoka sensei and Kinomoto sensei, this year for the third time in a row. The seminar was held in Rotterdam for iaidoka with ikkyu and higher.
EC iaido 2006 results
During the EC iaido in Brighton, UK, has Erwin Stolwijk participated with the team competition. With this team the Dutch have won the third place. For more information about the European Championship please visit the website www.ec2006.co.uk
Dutch Championships
On may 28th the Dutch Championships Iaido and Jodo were held. During these championships Yushinkan has won a third price in the mudan division. Other medals were in the nidan division: Elaine van Omme Kloeke third, David Smits second and Erwin Stolwijk first. In the sandan division has Berry Kuijer won a second place.
Europian Shinkageryu taikai
During the third Shinkageryu taikai, held on april 2nd, Elaine van Ommen Kloeke won the Miyuki-award. This is the first price for the category 0 to 2nd Dan.
Olympic weekend
On the 20st, 22nd and the 23rd of April the Olympic weekend will take place in Utrecht. During this weekend various sportclubs will give demonstrations and workshops. On Saturday Yushinkan will give demonstrations in the sportscomplex "Hoograven". It is also possible to attend workshops. More information about this weekend can be found at: www.olympischweekend.nl. 02-2006
In February 2006 Yushinkan will start new orientation courses: On the 7th of February the iaido orientation course will start.
11-2005
Berry Kuijer and David Smits have been selected to participate at the European Championship Iaido. The EC will be held from 30 October until 1 November in Bologna, Italy.
